The price now — and when it gets cheap

Prices come from Energi Data Service, Energinet's open API, in quarter-hour resolution for DK1 and DK2. Voltly shows them as the price that lands on the bill: spot plus grid tariff, electricity duty, system and transmission tariffs, supplier markup and VAT.

Add your appliances with consumption and run time. The app finds the cheapest window in the next 24 hours and tells you what it is worth: move the charge from now to 13:00 and you save 27 kroner.

Your own consumption and solar export

Connect the app to Energinet's Eloverblik and the prices turn into kroner. You fetch a data access token yourself at eloverblik.dk after signing in with MitID and paste it into the app — there is no MitID login available to an app like this, and the token never travels anywhere except to Energinet.

  • Consumption and export by hour, day, month and year.
  • Consumption is priced at the consumer price for the exact hour you used it — weighted by consumption, not an average of the hourly prices.
  • Export is valued at the exchange price, so you can see what the sun earned each day. Negative prices are shown as they are.
  • A curve at the bottom lays the period over the previous one, so you can see whether you are using more than last month.
  • Meter data arrives the day after. Live consumption needs the meter's HAN port or your inverter — Eloverblik cannot do that.

Five days ahead

The electricity market only publishes today and tomorrow. The rest is a calculation, and the app says so plainly.

  • The level comes from recent days' actual prices in your area, the daily shape from the median deviation per hour, and the range from the spread those hours have actually had.
  • Every day is labelled: market price or estimate — with a range.
  • Weather is not modelled. Wind drives Danish prices more than anything else, and a windy weekend can halve the price without warning. Use the forecast to plan, not as a price you can count on.

Everything that comes straight from the market — today's and tomorrow's prices, charts, alerts, widgets, consumption and solar — is free and stays free.

Data and privacy

No account, no tracking, no analytics. Prices are fetched without anyone being told who you are. Connect your meter with MitID and your metering data passes through EU Studio's own server — and some of it sits there, encrypted, for as long as the connection lasts. All of it stays in the EU.

You sign in at Energinet, not with us — the app never sees your MitID. The authorisation grants read access to your own metering data only, and you can revoke it at eloverblik.dk at any time. Read the full privacy policy.

The supplier markup is the one part of the price the app cannot look up: it is your agreement with your electricity supplier and appears in no public register. So a figure is shown only for the suppliers where it has been checked against a real bill — for the rest you enter what is on yours.
